Other useful function and their explanation (Part-5)

Some of the most useful functions, that most of us don't use in our projects.

Creating a simple application using PHP and MySQL and perform CRUD operation on them (Part-3)

SO basically in this tutorial, we are going to make an application that performs all the CRUD operation using RESTful APIs. In, this tutorial we are making RESTful APIs first by using the MySQLi extension and then by using PDOs.

Introduction to PHP Data Objects (PDO) and its uses (Part-4)

Many PHP programmers learned how to access databases by using either the MySQL or MySQLi extensions. As of PHP 5.1, there's a better way. PHP Data Objects (PDO) provide methods for prepared statements and working with objects that will make you far more productive. PDO is a lean, consistent way to access databases. This means developers can write portable code much easier. PDO is not an abstraction layer like PearDB. PDO is a more like a data access layer which uses a unified API (Application Programming Interface).

Explaining CRUD and basic of CRUD operation using PHP and MySQL (Part-2)

Creating CRUD is a very common task in web development (CRUD stands for Create/Read/Update/Delete). The main purpose of a CRUD is that enables developers to create/read/update/delete data. When we are building APIs or any Web Application, we want our models to provide four basic types of functionality. The model must be able to Create, Read, Update, and Delete resources. Computer scientists often refer to these functions by the acronym CRUD. Normally data is stored in MySQL Database. PHP (or any other programming language) will be the server-side language that manipulates MySQL Database tables to give front-end users power to perform CRUD actions.

Creating a connection between PHP and MySQL (Part-1)

Nearly every site that you visit nowadays has some sort of database storage in place, many sites opt to use MySQL databases when using PHP. There are various method to connect MySQL with PHP, and as the version get improved, database extension was also get updated. The oldest way of making the connection was using MySQL extension. And then from PHP 5 MySQLi extension was introduced. A faster and more secure way to make a connection.

Database operation using PHP and MySQL

In any project/application, only programming language alone won't work, we need a way to store and retrieve data whenever required. In any project, a database is the mind of it and a stronger database schema lead to a more simpler and faster application. There are various databases available in the industry like Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, etc. Depending on our project we need to choose one.
