Introduction to PHP Data Objects (PDO) and its uses (Part-4)

Many PHP programmers learned how to access databases by using either the MySQL or MySQLi extensions. As of PHP 5.1, there's a better way. PHP Data Objects (PDO) provide methods for prepared statements and working with objects that will make you far more productive. PDO is a lean, consistent way to access databases. This means developers can write portable code much easier. PDO is not an abstraction layer like PearDB. PDO is a more like a data access layer which uses a unified API (Application Programming Interface).

Explaining CRUD and basic of CRUD operation using PHP and MySQL (Part-2)

Creating CRUD is a very common task in web development (CRUD stands for Create/Read/Update/Delete). The main purpose of a CRUD is that enables developers to create/read/update/delete data. When we are building APIs or any Web Application, we want our models to provide four basic types of functionality. The model must be able to Create, Read, Update, and Delete resources. Computer scientists often refer to these functions by the acronym CRUD. Normally data is stored in MySQL Database. PHP (or any other programming language) will be the server-side language that manipulates MySQL Database tables to give front-end users power to perform CRUD actions.
